Uninsured Loss Recovery and Motor Legal Expenses

Non-fault motor accidents – Protection for uninsured losses

If you are involved in a non-fault motor accident, you’ll want to know that you have support and expertise behind you to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Your motor insurance policy may take care of the damage to your vehicle but if you’re involved in a non-fault accident you may also incur other losses such as:

  • Vehicle hire fees (HGVs, Vans, Taxis or Cars)
  • Loss of use
  • Loss of earnings
  • Personal Injury

Policy excess

We provide our customers with access to a comprehensive Uninsured Loss Recovery and Motor Legal Expenses proposition* offering a range of services to recover any losses they may incur as a result of a non-fault accident, subject to there being a reasonable prospect of success.

*We may recommend utilising the services of your motor insurers’ standard policy cover if that includes Uninsured Loss Recovery and Motor Legal Expenses; alternatively we will offer a specialist standalone policy to run alongside the motor insurance.

Key Features

  • Roadside recovery in the event of an accident across the UK 24/7
  • Repair management via a network of approved and industry accredited repairers (HGVs, buses, other niche vehicles)
  • Temporary replacement vehicles (Courtesy vehicles, Approved Hire and Credit Hire)
  • Uninsured loss recovery
  • Personal Injury
  • Motor prosecution defence

No Deduction from Injury Settlements

Recent reforms introduced by the Ministry of Justice have meant that costs incurred for a personal injury solicitor are now deducted from the settlement awarded to the non-fault driver. Under our standalone Motor Legal Expenses product, no deduction is made from the injury award, meaning that you keep 100% of your settlement.
